  2019 AFCA DIVISION II COACHES' SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: OL Joseph Gonzales, Sr., Western Oregon,...Gonzales started every game this season and helped the WOU offense shatter several program records since the program moved to Division II in 2000 rushing for the most yards in a single season with 2,672 and the most rushing touchdowns with 30. The 5,119 yards of total offense is also a new high mark in a season, as the Wolves recorded 53 total touchdowns this year.

The passing game was also effective tossing for 21 touchdowns and 2,452 yards. The Wolves scored 375 points this season and picked up 238 first downs. He helped block for a trio of runners that all went for over 700-plus yards this season, with Omari Land rushing for over 1,000 yards, QB Ty Currie rushing for 825 yards and Nico Jackson adding 729 yards.   2019 ALL-GNAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Omari Land, Western Oregon, RB,...Land was named GNAC Player of the Week once during the season and had several big games in helping lead a potent rushing attack. Land started all 11 games rushing for 1,014 yards on 171 carries and nine touchdowns. He had a long carry of 55 yards and averaged 92.18 yards per game. He also caught 10 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns, taking a long reception for 90 yards and a score against Simon Fraser. He rushed for over 100 yards in six games, putting together a season-high 171 yards against Central Washington on 21 carries. Land reached the end zone on the ground in six games, putting together a three score game against Azusa Pacific and then added a two score effort versus Angelo State. While he had a 90-yard TD reception versus Simon Fraser, he also added a two catch, 56-yard game with a touchdown against Midwestern State as his receiving touchdown was a big play right before halftime to help lead WOU to the victory. - Western Oregon Football
